Zen Yum Cha 誠 飲茶

"Zen Chinese Restaurant is a gem! The food + service are second to none. It was recommended to me by a family member, and I have since become a member of the RSL club and have eaten at Zen many, many times. Having the option of Yum Cha and the a la carte menu at lunchtime is wonderful. The Prawn Noodle is to die for, the lemon chicken is the BEST, and the scallops and fish are totally delicious and amazing. We have even become friends with the staff, particularly Eric, the waiter. He is a LEGEND! This is my favourite Chinese restaurant south of the city."

"The restaurant was inside Ramsgate RSL. We went there for yum cha on Saturday. It wasn’t busy. The service was good, however the food choice was limited. We ordered 3 simple dishes with tea for 2 were nearly $50. The prawn dish was $15, the other 2 were $14 each. Tea was $3 each. No cheap for yum cha these days."

"The most delicious Chinese food in the local area. Way tastier meals than the leagues club who have chewy meat. I have eaten at Zen twice and both times the food was amazing, the meat so tender. Huge portion sizes and prices are fairly reasonable. Service was very attentive (special shout out to Angie, who was looking after our group of 10 and was exceptional). I made a reservation both times which I had to call to do, as I couldn't see that I could book online. We will be back"

"First time at Zen for dinner and one of the best Chinese meals I've had in a long time. Started with steamed prawn dumplings which had huge chunks of prawns and seafood spring rolls where you could identify what seafood you were getting. For mains we had a chicken laksa, the bowl was huge and came with a ladle for sharing, the soup was spot on. My favourite was the XO prawn vermicelli hotpot, made just the way it should be, LOL with peeled prawns. And the service? Excellent for a Chinese restaurant . Make sure you are a member of Ramsgate RSL so you get the members price. Oh I forgot to mention they give a complimentary plate of prawn chips, hardly any do that these days."
